The "Eyrie"

2009 sees the opening of  the “Eyrie”, a redevelopment of Brantwood’s top floor into a centre for learning, plus a stunning accommodation let.  Looking out over Coniston Water to the fells beyond the “Eyrie” has amazing views and offers our visitors an opportunity to enjoy the superb setting which inspired John Ruskin. It is the venue for a range of courses, including practical art workshops, art appreciation, gardening, herbal remedy and well being sessions. Room hire is also available for meetings, training or small conferences and seminars. In addition it has a self-catering apartment for hire for short breaks and holidays. Unique accommodation for hire
The "Eyrie" offers self-catering accommodation. It has beautiful interiors with original artworks and is furnished to the highest standard for a comfortable stay. Accommodation comprises one double bedroom, large kitchen/diner and a Drawing Room with one of the best views in the Lake District. Access is via outside steps, giving onto the gardens and woodland of Brantwood’s 250 acre estate. Guests are welcome to enjoy the exhibitions and historic collections whenever they wish during opening hours.

Corporate Hire

Experience John Ruskin’s legacy and inspiration at Brantwood - there is no more atmospheric place for a business meeting or training event. Our new conference facility located in "The Eyrie is fully equipped for presentations, meetings or training events. Other rooms are also available as breakout spaces. Brantwood's extensive woodland estate and lake shore offer ample opportunity for team building activities. The Eyrie can accommodate up to 40 people, depending on the arrangement required for the space. Please note - access to the Eyrie is via a set of steps.

Light lunches and refreshments can be catered for by Brantwood. Alternatively, lunch can be booked through Jumping Jenny restaurant on site at Brantwood. Contact Gillie Addison on 015394 41715.

There is free car parking in Brantwood's main car park  or why not use the Coniston Launch ferry service to arrive at our jetty with your group.

Hire rates:

£200 for room hire for a day. This daily rate reduces down depending on the number of days booked. A delegate rate is also available for smaller groups. Breakout rooms are available and the hire rate is negotiable depending on requirements.
