What else is there to do at Brantwood?

Brantwood has a vibrant exhibition and events programme. We host up to 10 exhibitions a year ranging from contemporary art to historical shows. Our popular events include outdoor theatre, classical music concerts, annual craft fair, guided garden tours, children’s activities and talks. New for 2009 is a range of short courses and workshops. Brantwood has a 250 acre estate, including eight unique gardens, ancient woodland, pastures and high moors. There are many paths around the estate with spectacular views across Coniston Water to the fells beyond. The garden admission ticket includes entry to Brantwood’s Severn Studio to view contemporary art exhibitions.

Jumping Jenny Restaurant, run by Gillie Addison, is one of the most popular in the Lakes with fantastic views from the terrace. Everything is cooked on site from fresh ingredients.

The Coach House Gallery, run by Kate Schwab, has an enviable reputation for selling quality arts and crafts. Admission is free.
